The Print Room Screen Prints: Summer Thieves
Summer Thieves are one of Dunedin's favourite music acts. Recently the boys have been working hard to build their name throughout the rest of New Zealand. They have had several gruelling nationwide tours and have supported big names such Katchafire and Tiki Taane. However, on the Friday the 17th of April the Summer Thieves boys faced possibly their biggest challenge yet. In a match-up of David vs. Goliath proportions the musicians will take on a group of the Highlanders Rugby team in an indoor basketball game. Obviously the lads wanted to look their best while on the court, so they came to The Print Room Dunedin to produce them a custom screen printed team uniform for the game.
The Screen Print Brief:
Our brief for this job was pretty loose. But, basically we were asked to create a cotton screen printed uniform that would incorporate their band logo and bring them together on the court and stand out from their opponent. We screen printed their band logo on the front of the singlet, a custom name and large number of the front and back that was individual for each player. We choose to use the fashion forward AS Colour Bernard Tank T-shirt to screen print the designs onto. We created a t-shirt the lads will look good in on and off the court. We hope the t-shirt will also hold some good memories for them in years to come.
Win or lose the boys will look like a tight unit on the court and will bring their A-game to take on some of New Zealand's top athletes. No doubt they will win the award for the best-dressed team.
