What began as a humble operation many years ago has grown into a leader in the merch industry.
A strong team culture and a commitment to quality are at the core of everything we do. We believe that creating the best merch starts with making better decisions—every step of the way.
Mind you, it wasn’t always big machines and business meetings.
The Print Room's origin story is filled with the twists, turns, and late nights you’d expect from a young Jon and Chris.
Where it all began:
On a sunny (ish) Dunedin day in 2013, two young creatives, Chris and Jon, spotted an old door. Where most would see scrap, they saw potential. That door became their first manual screen-printing machine. Armed with ambition, a knack for trial and error, and a whole lot of determination, they started printing their own t-shirts.
Their first designs? For their own fashion label, Moodie Tuesday. And the results? Crisp, high-quality prints that quickly caught people’s attention. Before long, word spread, and work started rolling in—not a bad problem to have.
As demand grew, the two chaps from Central Otago saw an opportunity. A few jobs later, they reinvested in their craft, upgrading to their first four-colour manual carousel. Then came their biggest challenge yet—2,000 tees in two weeks. No sweat. They got it done.
The next step? Another upgrade. And they haven’t looked back since.
