Repurpose Initiative



A clothing take-back program that repurposes your end-of-life branded garments, keeping them out of landfills.

How does it work?



Partnering with specialist textile recyclers, we offer our existing Print Room customers the opportunity to return gear* that's at the end of its life—to be repurposed into items like felts, insulation, blankets, and more. All we ask is that you cover the shipping costs, and we'll take care of the repurposing.

This program is intended for outdated uniforms, event apparel, and promotional merchandise originally produced by Print Room.

Step by step:

  • If you have uniforms, event apparel, or promotional merchandise produced by Print Room that have reached the end of their life, email us with details about what you'd like to recycle — including the type of fabric and quantity.

  • If you're based in Dunedin, you're welcome to drop your garments off at Print Room HQ. Otherwise, once we’ve reviewed your request, we’ll calculate the shipping cost and provide you with a pre-paid shipping label so you can send them to us.

  • Once we receive your garments, we’ll ensure they’re responsibly processed through our trusted textile recycling partners — giving them a second life and keeping them out of landfill.

FAQs

  • Our repurposing initiative is available to Print Room customers with garments that were originally printed by us. Before returning items, please ensure all non-textile components—such as zippers, buttons, and any metallic or plastic parts—are removed.

  • We ask that customers cover the shipping costs to send unwanted garments to our textile recycling partner. All other costs, including the repurposing, are covered by us.
