Screenprint.

ABOUT SCREENPRINTING.

The Print Room specialises in producing high-quality & award winning screen printed garments. We exclusively print with water based inks as opposed to the industry standard, plastisol ink. We decided to make the switch to water based inks back in 2017 and spent two years up-skilling, researching and learning how to use these inks. But the hard work has paid off an we are super proud to offer a service and product that is much more friendly on the environment and for our staff to work with. You can read more about our water-based journey here.

Screen printing requires a screen to be created for each colour in the design and we spread the setup costs across the number of garments that have been ordered. Therefore custom screen printing is best for bulk orders as the more garments you order, the cheaper each garments becomes. The Print Room offers screen printing on a wide range of garment types including t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, pants, accessories, t-shirts, tea towels and much more.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL DIFFERENCE.

When we started our business in 2014 plastisol ink was the ink that all print shops were using. Plastisol ink contains PVC (plastics) or phthalates (chemicals) and require turps and hard chemicals to wash out the screen. By 2017 we had enough of a turps smelling shop floor and searched for alternative that was much better for the environment, our staff and the for the t-shirt. We are proud to exclusively use eater based inks. This has allowed us to eliminate plastic beads from our production as we only use water and soy based products during the wash down process, leaving our shop smelling fresh an our staff happy. The other upside to this is water based ink leaves a much softer print, yet it is still as durable as plastisol inks. It's a win, win. Find out more here.
